LVA Way - Character Education Component At LVA , we go beyond academics to the individuality of our students by molding them into creative, intuitive, and analytical thinkers. We combine our unique learning environment with character development. The application of these values gives the students a foundation on which to build their success. These principles are: OPINION - express your opinion without hurting others. RESPECT - appreciate our school by showing respect to the property and your school environment. SELF-CONTROL – maintain control of your own behavior, and understand how it will affect others. ACTIONS – choose actions that will earn trust, respect, and friendship from others. TIME MANAGEMENT – use your learning time wisely to ensure your success! As a community, we expect everybody to respect the LVA Way – parents, teachers and students. Interacting with one another with these 5 simple values develops empathy, respect, and honor towards one another, the school, and the community. In middle school, the LVA Way is put into action through Community Service. Students have the opportunity to go into the community and serve in a variety of ways.
