Charter schools receive only 80% of the state’s per-pupil funding that all school districts receive. The remaining 20% stays with the home school district. This amount provides transportation and allows our middle school and high school students to participate in athletic and extracurricular activities in the school district. In order to expand our limited budget, we look to our fundraising committees for support.
Corporate Support
In obtaining corporate support, we maintain our connection with the community. We’ve run two annual fundraisers: a car show and a golf tournament. Through these events, we develop vital associations with local corporations and organizations that enable us to gain financial support and attract in-kind donations.
In addition to fundraising events, we seek corporate grants. The goal is to raise funds to support our facility and larger educational projects. At the same time, we want to develop an understanding of what we’re about within the community by creating partnerships with local businesses and awareness of the IB curriculum.
Financial support goes toward our technology and teacher resource tools.
Future endeavors for a Capital Campaign will raise monies to fund the building of our own school campus.
